Internet of Things का मुख्य कार्य  internet संचालित smart devices से मानव जीवन को अत्यधिक सुगम बनाना है| Internet of Things आज के समय सबसे आधुनिक विधा है जो आने वाले कल में हम सभी की life, सपनो के संसार जैसा बना देगी| आइये हम सब भी समझने का प्रयास करते है कि क्या है Internet of Things? IoT क्या है

हमारे दैनिक प्रयोग में आने वाले सभी उपकरण जोकि internet से connect हो सकते है, नियंत्रित हो सकते है और साथ ही साथ internet के द्वारा एक दूसरे के साथ information share कर सकते है, वो सभी device internet of things device कहलाती है|

जैसे :-

• Smart driving: driver के बिना चलने वाली car,truck
• Smart home Appliances: जैसे refrigerator जो अपने अन्दर रखे सामान को sense कर सके और आपकी location को देखते हुए समय पर आपको आवश्यक सामन लाने का message कर सके या automatic switch on/off- bulb|
• Smart city: जैसे city में pillars पर लगी lights का automatically सुबह शाम बंद और चालू हो जाना, pillars पर लगे cameras किसी घर में हो रही चोरी,अपहरण को sence कर watchman या nearest police station को message कर सके| etc
• Smart homes: जैसे आप अपने ऑफिस जाते समय घर पर ताला लगाना भूल जाए लेकिन आपका गेट अपने आप बंद हो जाये| अपनी गाड़ी का हॉर्न बजाये तो आपके निवास का main gate अपने आप खुल जाये |
• Smart Agriculture: आपके खेतो में मिट्टी सूख रही है, खेत में पानी लगाने का और समय पर मिट्टी के पोषक तत्व की कमी होने पर खाद डालने का किसान साथियों को message देना |
• Smart wearables: जैसे smart spectacle,smart wrist watches,smart medical wearables devices

जी हाँ , हमारा आने वाला समय देवताओ जैसा हो सकता है| जैसे देवता जो चाहते थे, वो पल भर में हो जाता है, उसी प्रकार हमारे घर के भीतर लगा camera जब सुबह हमें अपना briefcase लेकर निकलता हुए देखे और हमारी auto driven car को message कर दे और car अपने आप start होकर हमारे पास आ जाये|

ये सोचने में सपनो का संसार लगता है लेकिन पूरे संसार में Internet of Things device, machine learning पर research हो रही है |  

लेकिन हमने तो सुना है की internet से computer,mobile काम करते है तो क्या ये devices, computer है या mobile है ?

जी नही ये device computer/mobile नही है लेकिन इन सभी devices का एक IP address होता है और इनमे ऐसे hardware parts लगे होते है जिनके द्वारा ये अपना data/info share करते है साथ ही internet के द्वारा नियंत्रित होते है|

क्या IoT devices में processor लगा होता है ?

जी हाँ, data process ( process = data पर काम करना) करने के लिए processor आवश्यक होता है, इसलिए इन सभी devices में processor लगा होता है जोकि internet के द्वारा मिले instruction को process करता है और फिर उसके अनुसार काम करता है|

इन devices में लगे processor, microprocessor होते है|

जैसे जैसे computer science का विकास हुआ,वैसे वैसे computer hardware सस्ते होने लगे और microprocessor (जिन्हें हम mini computer processor कह सकते है)  इतने सस्ते हो गये की इन्हें छोटी छोटी devices में लगाया जा सकता है, microprocessor के अतिरिक्त इनमे sensor और  internet connectivity device लगी होती है| इन hardwares के साथ साथ एक software भी लगा होता है | IoT devices में sensor का बहुत ही महत्वपूर्ण काम होता है क्योंकि IoT devices कुछ भी काम करने से पहले आसपास की स्थितियों को sense करती है, sense करने के बाद ही IoT devices कोई decision लेती है कि आगे क्या action लेना है |

इन devices में लगे processor , machine learning के माध्यम से आस पास के वातावरण से अपने sensor के द्वारा data, collect करते है ठीक उसी प्रकार जैसे एक मनुष्य अपने आसपास के वातावरण से data collect करता है और data के अनुसार अपने काम करता है, इसीलिए इनको IoT smart devices कहते है|

machine learning, artificial intelligence ( computer science की वो शाखा जिनके द्वारा robots बनाये जाते है ) का ही भाग है,जिसमे IoT devices आसपास के स्थितियों को sense करती है और आसपास की स्थितियों के अनुसार action लेती है यानि machine सीखती है ( learn करती है ) इसीलिए इसको machine learning कहते है |

चूँकि IoT devices, internet based होती है इसलिए इन्हें हैकर, हैक कर सकते है और इनमे malware( ऐसे छोटे software जो devices के काम में बाधा डालते है, इनके data के damage कर सकते है) भी आ सकते है |

Internet of Things device का इतिहास क्या है ?

internet of things की शुरुआत के अलग अलग data है जिसमे से एक के अनुसार 1980 की शुरुआत में Carnegie Melon University में एक Coca Cola machine(refrigerated appliance) लगी थी जोकि internet से जुड़ी थी और programmers किसी भी trip पर जाने से पहले internet से ही ये पता करते थे कि refrigerated appliance में drinks ठन्डे है कि नही |

प्रॉक्टर एंड गैंबल ( P & G ) के Auto-ID Center  के तत्कालीन कार्यकारी निदेशक Kevin Ashton के अनुसार उन्होंने 1999 में एक presentation देते हुए Internet of Things , concept का पहली बार प्रयोग किया |

Internet of Things devices कौन कौन सी होती है ?

वो सभी devices जिनमे microprocessor लगा हो , sensor लगा हो , internet connecting device लगी हो , internet of things बन सकते है क्यूंकि किसी भी device में internet तभी होता है जब उसके पास IP address होता है और ये तो हमे पता ही है की सभी devices का एक Unique , IP ( internet protocol ) adress होता है, अब जब सभी devices के अलग अलग address (IP) होते है तो वो सरलता से एक दूसरे से internet के द्वारा connect हो सकते है|

जब सभी devices में microprocessor लगा होता है तो वो एक दूसरे को instructions भी भेज सकते है|

• IoT उपकरणों की संख्या वर्ष 2017 में बढ़कर 8.4 billion हो गई
• यह अनुमान है कि 2020 तक 30 billion डिवाइस होंगे। IoT का वैश्विक बाजार मूल्य 2020 तक $7.1 trillion तक पहुंचने का अनुमान है।
• ऐसा अनुमान है कि 2021 तक internet of things devices की संख्या 35 billion हो जाएगी|
• ऐसा अनुमान है कि 2025 तक internet of things devices की संख्या 41.6 billion हो जाएगी|

Advantages & Disadvantages of IoT devices

Advantages of IoT devices

• हम सभी का जीवन अत्यधिक आसान हो जायेगा|
• हम अपने काम भूलेंगे नही|
• energy management efficiency बड जाएगी |
• हम सब का living standard luxuries हो जायेगा |
• life में सब कुछ planned और organised & easy होगा|

Disadvantages of IoT devices

• IoT का सबसे बड़ा नुक्सान ये है की हमारी सभी information, internet पर होगी और वो hacker तक पहुँच सकती है|
• hackers के द्वारा machine hack होने पर हम अधिक कुछ नही कर सकेंगे क्योंकि IoT devices, robotics से जुड़ी है|
• हम सब machines पर निर्भर हो जायेंगे जिससे कि शारीरिक गतिविधिया बहुत कम होंगी जिससे हमारा स्वास्थ्य खराब हो सकता है|
• संसार में करोडो लोगो का काम कम हो जायेगा जिनके employment की वैकल्पिक व्यवस्था करनी होगी|
